Service Description
Course: CPR/AED and First Aid Length: 3 Hours Dates: February 18, April 22, June 17, August 19, Oct 21 Richmond VA Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm Price: $60 Class Size: 5 minimum - 10 maximum The CPR / AED and First Aid course is intended for child care givers, camp staff, recreationalists, neighbors, all individuals who want to be prepared in case of an emergency. CPR / AED and First Aid is a great introduction to learning basic life saving skills. This training focuses on prevention, assessment, and treatment of cardiac and respiratory emergencies, as well as recognizing and stabilizing common trauma and medical emergencies. The CPR / AED and First Aid course is 3 hours and located indoors. We emphasize scenarios and hands-on practice during the course. Hands-on practice is crucial for skill retention and building confidence. Expect a valuable and engaging learning experience! We prioritize hands-on scenarios and practice, so come prepared to actively participate. Students completing the class will receive an OSHA-approved CPR/AED + First Aid certification from American CPR Training. CPR/AED includes adult, child, and infant skills. Attendance doesn’t guarantee certification. Participation and skill demonstration required. American CPR Training CPR/AED is valid for 2 years. Includes adult, child, and infant. Note: Once you have registered for a course, we’ll send you a confirmation email and a course details pack. Course details will include our liability waiver and release from, medical history form, course outline, packing list, meeting times and locations, and instructor contact information. Topics: - PPE and body substance isolation - Adult, child, and infant CPR - AED application - Airway obstruction clearing - Patient recovery position - Bleeding control - Epinephrine administration - Patient assessment What We Provide: - Course field guide - Person barrier masks and gloves - Manikins - Knee padding - First aid supplies to practice with Packing List - Active fit clothing, appropriate layers, shoes - Water bottle and snacks - Self care items
Cancellation Policy
We appreciate your interest in working with Fall Line River School! By accepting this you are entering a contractual relationship for training between you/your organization and Fall Line River School. Payment is due upon registration for the course. Unless other arrangements have been made. Cancellation/Reschedule Policy: Any cancellation/reschedule must be received in writing to falllineriverschool@gmail.com. More than 30 days before the first day of your course: If you reschedule you will get a 100% credit. If you cancel we will give you a 95% refund. Between 30-14 days before the first day of your course: If you reschedule you will get a 50% credit. If you cancel we will give you a 45% refund. If you cancel less than 14 days before the first day of your course, no rescheduling, no refunds. Please note: We can no longer extend any kind of credit or refund due to medical or other last minute emergencies. You are, however, welcome to substitute someone else in your place. Thank you for your understanding. Cancellation/Reschedule by Fall Line River School: Courses take place rain or shine. If a course has to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e., extreme weather) then we give you a spot on another date and location of the same course, or a full credit to use towards any of our other courses. Fall Line River School is not responsible for expenses incurred by students in preparing for a cancelled course (for example non-refundable advance purchase plane tickets, equipment etc. or for any additional arrangements for other travel plans associated with this course).
